Students participating in the Ultimate Engineering Experience hosted by Intel at a Portland community college learned how science, technology, engineering and math connect to building helicopters. Intel hopes these six-week camps held across the nation will help students see how STEM applies in the real world. "It seems like you'll never use it, but these quad copters, they're all flying with calculus," said John Harris, a college senior and Intel intern who is helping to lead the program.
