The New Orleans City Council has postponed voting on a proposed ordinance to ban "amphibious transportation" in parts of the city after Gray Line Tours appealed. The company aims to offer a three-boat "Ride the Ducks" tour, but the council and residents have objected because of possible traffic and image issues. "If nothing can be worked out, the ban can be imposed later," Gray Line attorney Scott Whittaker said.
