Speaking to GOP leaders in Boston, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie urged Republicans to move beyond divisive policies and to start laying the groundwork for a successful presidential campaign in 2016. That dovetails with Christie's major advantage as a candidate: his perceived electability, and his ability, at least in New Jersey, to win over moderate Democrats, women and minority voters. "We are not a debating society," Christie said. "We are a political operation that needs to win."
