Guacamole and margaritas may not be truly authentic Mexican fare, but they pave the way for diners to try dishes that reflect traditional Mexican recipes, writes chef-restaurateur Alex Stupak. As more chefs set their sights south-of-the-border, the cuisine will hopefully become more widespread and diners will be more adventurous when it comes to trying both traditional dishes and modern variations, Stupak writes.
