A bill to extend Medicaid to more low-income individuals under the Affordable Care Act was approved on Tuesday by the Michigan Senate in a 20-18 vote. The bill will go to the Michigan House, which has previously backed a similar proposal. "This is our bill that will reform the cost of medicine in our state and be a model for our country," said Republican Sen. Roger Kahn, head of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
