Engineers and scientists from such companies as Target, 3M, IBM, Accenture and Medtronic have been working alongside 30 middle-school girls with disabilities to help spark their interest in science, technology, engineering and math. Their work is part of a Bloomington, Minn., summer camp organized by disability advocacy agency PACER. "Exposing girls to science, technology, engineering and math is important because we need to have high expectations for all children, and that's particularly true for children with disabilities," said Paula Goldberg, executive director of PACER.
