Mozilla is previewing its Firefox Marketplace application-discovery store, a critical factor if it is to succeed in the crowded mobile-app market, writes Josh Horwitz. The Marketplace will provide a customized feed tailored to user interests, modeled after social networks, to keep users apprised of updates and new apps, and personify the app recommendations to depart from the impersonal approach of other stores, according to designer Liu Liu.
