Nestle U.K. is defending its new line of Wonka chocolate bars against criticism that the candies are high in calories and marketed to children. The Wonka chocolates, made with sustainably sourced cocoa and the first chocolate introduced under the Wonka brand, have calorie counts similar to comparable products on the market and are "clearly marked for sharing," said James Maxton, a corporate communication staffer with Nestle. Nestle U.K. is also a part of the U.K's governmental calorie reduction initiative, Responsibility Deal.
