Linear Technology has introduced the LTC3330 energy-harvesting interface chip, which it says can be powered by magnetic, piezoelectric or solar sources. Paired with two supercapacitors, the chip can draw a load of up to 50 microamperes, according to the company.
ATO Solution has developed a 1-gigabit NAND flash memory device with its patented Serial Peripheral Interface technology. The company sees applications in digital televisions, mobile phones and set-top boxes for the part.
The Kepler and Maxwell graphics architectures will usher in a new era of performance in application processors for mobile devices, according to Nvidia's Philip Carmack. "Being able to take that [general-purpose graphics processing unit] competitiveness and have this weapon of the visual computing that comes from our GeForce, Kepler GPU and just follow on Maxwell is key to our ability to really change the game for people," he said.
Nvidia has developed the GeForce R310 driver, which is said to improve the performance of video games played on Linux-based PCs. The R310 aids the performance of GeForce GTX 600 graphics processing units, according to the company.
Nvidia's ForceWare 285-series drivers mention support for the company's GeForce 610M and GeForce GT 630M graphics adapters for notebooks, according to a report by the VR-Zone website. Those new graphics processing units are believed to be part of the GK100-series ICs with Nvidia's "Kepler" microarchitecture, due to be released next year.
