Thomas Czajkowski, the new chief information officer of the Columbus, Ohio, school district, says he has a solution to fix a problematic cloud-computing system that the district launched in 2008. Educators say the existing system is so slow that computers can take as long as three hours to turn on, amid crashes and freezing. Now, officials are hoping that a November levy request to replace hardware, enhance servers and update software will help the system run more smoothly.
