Sharroky Hollie, executive director of the Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning, and Robert Marzano, co-founder and CEO of Marzano Research Laboratory, recently led a professional-development session for St. Cloud, Minn., teachers in which they focused in part on cultural responsiveness and overcoming obstacles to teaching and learning.
