Only 24% of consumers say they worry about healthy eating when dining out, while 37% say they want to eat what they want at restaurants and 23% say they indulge when they go out to eat, according to NPD Group. People who pay attention to posted calorie counts tend to be those who already watch their weight, while calorie listings don't seem to influence people who regularly consume more calories than they should, said researcher Julie Downs.
