The second phase of the Limit-Up/Limit-Down program introduced by NYSE Euronext began Monday with 48 separate exchange-traded products triggering halts or pauses on NYSE Arca for moving more than 10% during a five-minute span, according to data from Nasdaq OMX. Phase two is targeted at about 570 sparsely traded securities that require a 10% move to trigger a halt, as opposed to the 5% limit on more liquid securities.
