Dutch scientists say the carbon dioxide generated by fossil-fuel power plants could be pumped through water to generate a flow of electrons and extra power, according to this article. The electrolysis technology -- which would require massive investment -- is nothing new, however, stemming from a 200-year-old technique devised by Sir Humphry Davy and Michael Faraday.
