A planned precast and pre-stressed concrete studio at South Dakota State University will focus on the theme of building a "concrete community." A grant from the Precast Concrete Industry Foundation was awarded to the project, and the studio will be used by the university's department of architecture and construction management. "This studio will allow additional interaction with our team and the students on an ongoing basis, as well as help educate the future architects and construction managers on the benefits of utilizing precast concrete," said Tom Kelley, president of Gage Brothers Concrete Products, the project's supplier.
