Google is reportedly considering buying the rights to the NFL Sunday Ticket package in what would amount to a major move in the TV space, Peter Kafka writes. Google CEO Larry Page and YouTube's content chief Robert Kyncl recently met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the rights, among other things, according to this report. DIRECTV's deal for the Sunday Ticket offering expires at the end of the NFL's 2014 season.
