Time spent using digital media will overtake TV viewing for the first time among U.S. adults because of a small decrease in TV watching and a 15.8% increase in digital media use in 2013, according to eMarketer. The average U.S. adult will spend more than 5 hours each day online -- almost half of that on mobile activities -- while daily TV viewing will drop slightly to an average of 4 hours and 31 minutes.
