The Scripps Translational Science Institute has kicked off a research initiative called Wired for Health, which will run for six months and involve 200 patients with hypertension, diabetes and heart arrhythmia. The trial, which will leverage mobile medical sensors and tools from companies including Sanofi, AliveCor and Qualcomm Life, focuses on the effectiveness of wireless health technology in reducing care costs.
