Sleep disturbances were associated with relapses of Crohn's disease among patients without ulcerative colitis in a 3,173-person study by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital. "There is a need for further research on the potential benefits of routine assessment of sleep quality as well as intervention-based studies to improve sleep quality in patients with CD," the study team reported in the journal Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
