Researchers and experts say that students' interest in video games and social media is helping to drive their interest in the arts. Among other things, budding artists are finding vibrant communities for the arts online, via social media. Now, researchers are calling for schools to tap into this resource, helping students build digital portfolios, connecting them with arts resources online, and approaching art and technology as a "space for co-discovery."
