Thanks to the Renewable Fuel Standard, homegrown biofuels are lowering prices at the pump and reducing demand for foreign oil while cutting greenhouse-gas emissions, according to Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa. Contrary to what the oil industry says, numerous studies have confirmed that biofuels are not driving up food prices, Grassley states. "The RFS has already led to significant environmental, economic and national security gains. The promise of the next generation of biofuels will add even more," Grassley explains.
