People who consume soy and a beverage with the probiotic Lactobacillus casei Shirota from the time they are adolescents onward can see a 50% drop in breast cancer risk, new research shows. People who were high consumers of Lactobacillus casei Shirota and who drank the probiotic beverage at least four times a week showed the cancer risk drop, researchers from the University of Tokyo found.
