Steep price cuts apparently have sparked demand for Microsoft's Surface RT tablet in recent months, according to the advertising firm AdDuplex, which tracks usage on its network. Microsoft recently dropped the price of the slate by 30%, to $350, and had previously offered them at a much lower price point to schools and TechEd conference attendees. AdDuplex said the Surface RT's share rose from 6.2% in April to 9.5% in August.
