More than 75% of gamers who have spent more than $50 on in-app purchasing feel they've gotten their money's worth, according to an EEDAR survey. Satisfaction peaks at 86% for those spending $20 or more and only drops to 67% for those shelling out $100. The survey demonstrates that much of in-app purchasing is considered by users and not the result of impulse buying or trickery. Instead the gamers "understand the value proposition supplied across different business models, and still choose to purchase microtransactions," EEDAR's Patrick Walker says.
