Teens today have less disposable income and spend more of what they do have on consumer electronics, according to government data. The trend is proving troublesome for fashion chains including Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale and American Eagle, as young consumers trade pricier logos for fast fashion variety from retailers including Zara, Forever 21 and H&M.
