Highlands High School in San Antonio, Texas, will be the first school in the state to offer classes in computer coding. With about 400 students expected to enroll, it will be one of the largest such programs in the nation. The school will use the CodeHS program, which has interactive games to teach coding skills and concepts, and the program will be sponsored by Rackspace Hosting founder Graham Weston and his 80/20 Foundation.
