Demand for restaurant employees is up almost four points for the third quarter to 69.9, according to the People Report Workforce Index. The biggest increase was in casual dining, which climbed to 75.6 from 62.9, followed by fine dining, which went to 66.2 from 64.7. “The recruiting difficulty continues to go up. That’s just a clear trend line. It’s getting harder and harder to find qualified employees," said People Report executive director of operations Michael Harms.
