The Transportation Security Administration has noted a 30% rise in people trying to board planes with weapons in their luggage. The increase in the first six months of this year is compared to the same time period last year. "Everybody should know not to go on a plane with a gun," said Steele Myers, interim chief of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Police. "Some people are forgetful, or they’re thinking that a concealed handgun permit gives them authority to do things they can’t."
