Viacom is increasing the number of events that will incorporate Twitter's Amplify video-ad service after receiving strong advertiser response for sponsored tweets connected to its MTV Video Music Awards. Viacom plans to Amplify more than 30 other shows, including a roast of James Franco on Comedy Central scheduled for next month. "The availability of Twitter Amplify in the MTV Video Music Awards ... generated such a great response from advertisers that we're accelerating our plans to roll it out across our networks," said Viacom Media Networks' Jeff Lucas.
