As a sales leader, you are on the hook for your team's performance, which can make it tempting to micromanage salespeople's activities. It's important to resist this temptation, says Kevin Kirby, a senior sales manager at T-Mobile US. "There has to be a level of trust between any leader and their team," he said. "When you get to a point of micromanagement, that trust has [been] wounded and may not be repairable."
