The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority announced Friday that a report indicates the owners of the Minnesota Vikings football team have sufficient finances to pay their share of the $975 million to build a stadium in Minneapolis. In the meantime, Mortenson Construction is busy finalizing costs for building the stadium and hiring 50 to 60 subcontractors. Groundbreaking is expected in November, and the facility should be finished by the start of the 2016 football season.
