In the wake of a fire that damaged SK Hynix's wafer fabrication facility in China, Samsung Electronics is reportedly increasing its production of DRAMs for PCs to make up for the shortfall in its Korean rival's output, DigiTimes reports, citing industry sources. Meanwhile, SK Hynix said it would boost production at its factories in South Korea to compensate for the downtime at its fire-damaged fab, which is expected to resume full production in November.
