Microsoft has opened its Xbox Music streaming service to users of Android and iOS-powered devices as the company looks to better compete with rivals Apple iTunes, Spotify and Pandora Media. The $10 monthly subscription provides listeners with an unlimited and ad-free service that can be played on smartphones, tablets, the Xbox 360 and the upcoming Xbox One gaming console. "Music needs to be something that freely connects between devices for users to be happy," said Xbox Music's Scott Porter. Microsoft had previously limited the service to Windows Phones and other Windows platforms.
