Researchers believe they've uncovered a town more than 2,000 years old in Israel's Ginosar Valley on the northwest shore of the sea of Galilee. Pottery discovered in the area, believed to be the town of Dalmanutha, show the area was prosperous, and was probably sustained by a fishing industry, said Ken Dark of the University of Reading in the U.K., whose team discovered the town.
