A $599 million contract to build toll lanes on Interstates 75 and 575 in Georgia has been approved by the State Road and Tollway Authority and the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission. The job is part of the $840 million Northwest Corridor project outside Atlanta, a public-private partnership that will be built by Northwest Express Roadbuilders, a group of construction contractors and engineers that includes Archer Western Contractors, Parsons Transportation Group and Hubbard Construction Co. Work is expected to be completed in 2018.
