Market participants are urging the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to delay rules that require most swaps to be traded through a swap-execution facility, processed through a clearinghouse and reported to a data warehouse. The CFTC is expected to deny the request and proceed with implementation Wednesday. "I don't see a wholesale delay of Oct. 2," spokesman Steve Adamske said. Instead, the CFTC will consider individual requests for delay, Adamske says. CFTC member Scott O'Malia called for a delay during an industry conference in Switzerland.
