Despite declining share prices, China's banks remain strongly in favor among many analysts who believe that current fears over China's debt load and shadow banking are overstated. Others, however, aren't so sanguine, noting that many questions about shadow banking in particular remain to be answered. "There's truth in there somewhere but it's hard to know what it is," said David Franklin, a market strategist at Toronto-based Sprott Asset Management.
