Hoteliers can ensure a positive ranking on TripAdvisor by responding to customer reviews and erasing negative past reviews through property renovations, writes Jean Francois Mourier of RevPAR Guru. Guests should also be encouraged to provide reviews, through follow-up communications and incentives. "Often, it is the customers who have negative experiences who are the most vocal on review sites, so encouraging past guests who have had positive experiences to do a review is also important," Mourier writes.
