By the end of the school year, a Connecticut district's eight elementary schools are expected to serve breakfast in the classroom. Officials say the in-class breakfast program already has increased participation in the morning meals. "They like the breakfast. Some of them save their fruit for a snack, but they're eating everything," said Colleen Monnes, a fifth-grade teacher. "No kid is hungry. Every child has an opportunity to get breakfast."
