Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, spoke all night in a largely symbolic effort to derail a Senate vote that would strip language defunding the Affordable Care Act from a spending bill passed by the House. The vote, which is likely to come this afternoon, cannot be prevented by Cruz's marathon speech, and some Republicans said it was better to press ahead. "If the House doesn't get what we send over there until Monday, they're in a pretty tough spot," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
