A study released this week by the Advanced Medical Technology Association shows the average prices of medical devices in the U.S. have dropped by nearly one-third since 2007. "What else in health care can you say is going down in terms of price? At least in this part of health care, good old-fashioned competition works well," the group's CEO Stephen Ubl said.
