A Frost & Sullivan report says the use of dietary supplements at preventive intake levels may help curb chronic-disease-related events in high-risk populations, which may equate to potential health care savings. "This report provides one more reason for doctors and other health care practitioners to open a dialogue with their patients about incorporating supplement usage along with other healthy behaviors," said Frost & Sullivan's Chris Shanahan.
