Some traditional retailers including Macy's, Nordstrom and Wal-Mart are finding their footing in a digital world with increasingly savvy omnichannel efforts that let customers shop where and how they choose, experts said at a retail summit last week. "The promise is there, the potential is there, and when it works, it's a lovely thing," ShopRunner Chief Strategy Officer Fiona Dias said, adding that the retail industry as a whole still has a lot of work to do in merging e-commerce with brick-and-mortar stores.
