A Florida appeals court has upheld the constitutionality of a 104-week limit on temporary total disability benefits in workers' compensation. The court said that workers are able to get permanent total disability benefits after that period, adding that the "notion that there can be a period of time during which a disabled worker is not entitled to be compensated for his or her workplace injury is contrary to the basic purpose of the Workers' Compensation Law."
