David Ambinder, former senior vice president of global business support services for Lehman Brothers, left the financial sector after the company filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and invested his savings in a Mr. Handyman franchise. Ambinder found the management and development skills he used to oversee about 500 employees across the globe with Lehman still applied to his franchise staff of fewer than 10, and five years later, he said he would not choose to go back to Wall Street.
