Google has begun to encrypt all search-related activity except for ad clicks, expanding the protection to users who aren't signed in to Google accounts. This means marketers won't be able to see which keywords are driving traffic to their websites. Marketers should still focus on keyword data from Bing and Yahoo while making sure their Google AdWords account is tied to their Google Analytics accounts for keyword research, Pamela Vaughan writes.
