Google has agreed to buy Bump, a smartphone application that has been downloaded more than 100 million times, in a deal valued in the range of $30 million to $60 million, according to one source. Bump allows people to share files by tapping their smartphones together. The deal also includes Flock, a group photo-sharing app. In a blog post, Bump CEO David Lieb wrote, "Bump and Flock will continue to work as they always have for now." Google declined to elaborate on its plans for the apps.
