Many people create relatively weak passwords just so they'll be able to remember them, writes Markus Jakobsson. It's critical to pick more creative passwords and to make them harder to crack, Jakobsson writes. "[Y]ou can make all passwords be composed of two parts," Jakobsson suggests. "One that you memorize -- this part is the same for all your passwords within a given category -- and one that you write down -- this is unique."
