For example, Arch Angel Brands, which offers a line of orthotic supports, has managed to expand its sales despite facing competition with the established Dr. Scholl's brand. The company, which has four full-time staff members, says its small size can be an asset. "When you call the 800 number on a Dr. Scholl's product, you don't get the CEO or the president of the company on the phone," said co-founder Steve Llorens. "But when you call us, you do."
