The M7 co-processor in the iPhone 5S represents the kind of incremental technical progress to be found in new smartphone models, Noel Randewich writes. "We're moving from purely computing, where you provide the data, to an intelligent system, where it collects its own data and then computes," Gartner's Sergis Mushell said.
